Description
WHIP interns contribute to the critical work of the White House Office (WHO) and the Office of the Vice President (OVP). You'll gain firsthand experience in policy development, communications, constituent affairs, and other vital areas.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze policy issues
- Assist with drafting correspondence and reports
- Participate in meetings and briefings (depending on the internship)
- Support outreach and public engagement initiatives
- Contribute to ongoing White House projects and events
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
Experience
Prior internship experience or relevant coursework is a plus, but not required
Skills
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A keen interest in government and public service
