As a Memphis Airport intern, you'll be placed in a specific department based on your interests and qualifications. You'll collaborate with experienced staff on projects related to:

  • Operations: Assist with passenger flow management, air traffic control support, and ground operations optimization.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to passengers at information desks, gate areas, and concession stands.
  • Marketing & Communications: Support marketing campaigns, social media content creation, and community outreach programs.
  • Engineering & Construction: Learn about airport infrastructure projects, construction management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Security & Safety: Explore airport security protocols, emergency preparedness planning, and passenger screening procedures.
  • Concessions & Business Development: Support tenant and concessionaire relations, participate in business development initiatives, and contribute to MEM's economic impact.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with additional software skills preferred depending on the program.
  • U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization required.
Experience
  • Prior internship or relevant work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in your field of study or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong academic performance demonstrates your ability to excel in the internship.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills (where applicable).
