Description
The Fort Myers Airport Internship Opportunities Program offers a stimulating and unique opportunity for highly motivated students to gain valuable hands-on experience within the dynamic world of airport operations. Interns will work alongside dedicated professionals on diverse projects, contributing to the smooth functioning of Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and/or Page Field (FMY).
Responsibilities
- Assist with assigned projects under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Conduct research and data analysis relevant to the project.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Attend meetings and actively participate in discussions.
- Learn about specific areas of airport operations and the aviation industry.
- Network with airport staff and industry professionals.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field, such as aviation management, business administration, public administration, engineering, emergency management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (may vary by program).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (may vary by program).
Experience
- Prior internship experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience in aviation or a related field a plus (may vary by program).
