The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is pleased to announce Graduate Internship Opportunities for students in 2024. This program provides graduate students with a unique chance to contribute to the enhancement of motor carrier safety and transportation regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with FMCSA professionals on projects and initiatives related to motor carrier safety.
  • Conduct research and analysis on transportation regulations and safety trends.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts through data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support and contribute to ongoing projects.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field (Transportation Management, Public Policy, Safety Management, etc.).
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols is advantageous.
Experience
  • Previous internship experience or coursework related to transportation safety is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with federal transportation regulations is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
