Description
Calhoun Community College is seeking enthusiastic and motivated students to join our diverse internship program for 2024. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside professionals in various departments across our campuses in Decatur and Huntsville, Alabama. You will contribute to meaningful projects, develop professional skills, and gain unique insights into the inner workings of a community college.
Responsibilities
- Assist assigned departments with diverse tasks aligned with your field of study and interests.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports as needed.
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and brainstorming sessions.
- Learn and utilize relevant software and technology.
- Develop professional skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at Calhoun Community College.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated ability to learn new concepts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs (depending on department).
Experience
- Prior internship or volunteer experience preferred, but not required.
- Relevant coursework or projects in your field of study is a plus.
